Jose Johnson is a Harrisburg, PA based freelance trumpet player and arranger. Jose attended The Ohio State University where he studied Music Education and Jazz Studies with a composition emphasis. Jose spent much of the 80’s touring the Eastern United States with top 40 show bands, circus bands and gospel acts. He has recorded with numerous regional acts in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Tennessee. Jose has developed a reputation as being one of Central Pennsylvania’s most dependable lead trumpet players and arrangers specializing in funk and R&B. Jose regularly works with The Impact Band, The Maxwell Project, Gumbo Junk Brass Band and Windish Music & Productions. 

Jose is an endorsing artist for Warburton Music Products and exclusively plays on Warburton trumpets, flugelhorns and mouthpieces.
