Caitlin Jodoin

Freelance Tubist, Bass Trombonist -- NYC/Toronto

Caitlin Jodoin is a tubist based in New York City. Caitlin recently graduated from University of Toronto, where she earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Music and Education. She studied tuba in Toronto with Jen Stephen and Sal Fratia as well as conducting with Jeff Reynolds and Uri Mayer. Caitlin has played in solo and chamber masterclasses for world renowned performers such as James Gourlay, Carol Jantsch, Chuck Daellenbach, Achilles Liarmakopoulos, Dave Taylor, Boston Brass and Canadian Brass. Caitlin has performed in her hometown of Toronto with groups such as Hannaford Youth Band, Weston Silver Band, Toronto Community Orchestra, and Kingston Brass. In New York City, Caitlin is a member of eGALitarian, Brass Queens NYC and freelances in the New York area. A highlight for Caitlin was playing with the Mannes Symphony Orchestra in Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, premiering Julius Eastman’s Second Symphony. She enjoyed playing with groups such as PGBB at the mermaid parade and pride parade, as well as Belle Brass, a new all-female brass band. Caitlin is currently attending New York University while pursuing her Masters in Performance, specializing in Brass Studies, studying with Marcus Rojas and Kyle Turner.
